Position Summary: The Shipping/Receiving Forklift Driver is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to load, unload, move, and store products within the warehouse. This role ensures accurate shipment and receipt of goods, maintains inventory integrity, and supports overall warehouse efficiency.
Description of Duties:

Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, pallet jack, or reach truck) to move materials throughout the facility
- Load and unload trucks in a safe and timely manner
- Receive incoming shipments, verify accuracy, and inspect for damage
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and staging
- Accurately record inventory transactions using warehouse systems or documentation
- Maintain organized storage areas and ensure proper product placement
- Follow safety regulations and company procedures to prevent accidents and damage
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits as required
- Communicate with supervisors, team members, and drivers regarding shipment status
- Perform basic equipment inspections and report maintenance issues

Essential Skills and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain certification)
- 1+ year of experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations preferred
- Experience operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment
- Basic computer skills and experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) a plus

Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Must comply with hygiene and sanitation standards, including hairnets, gloves, and uniforms. May require shift work, including nights, weekends, and overtime. Willingness to travel between plants.
