Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision, following established recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, seasoning, and assembling ingredients for various dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage practices.
- Support the team during busy service hours by ensuring timely meal preparation and plating.
- Follow all food safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or issues promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and high-quality food delivery.
Skills
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as restaurant or catering kitchens is preferred but not required.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices.
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and cooking across various cuisines or fine dining settings.
