Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary
- Safely load packages into delivery vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, adhering to weight handling and safe lifting practices
- Drive route vehicles while following all traffic regulations, ensuring timely deliveries to customers’ doorsteps
- Use mobile devices for route navigation, package scanning, and delivery confirmation
- Load and unload packages at distribution centers or warehouses, supporting warehouse operations and material handling tasks
- Provide excellent customer service by delivering packages courteously and professionally
Experience
- Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred
- Experience in commercial driving, especially with box trucks or personal vehicles used for deliveries
- Delivery driver experience with a focus on adhering to traffic laws and safety standards
- Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles is a plus but not required; training will be provided if needed
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely in accordance with workplace safety guidelines
- Comfortable operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar devices
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor
