Sandia Suds Automotive Detailing is an new and upcoming mobile, appointment-only luxury detailing business in Albuquerque, and we're hiring a part-time Detail Technician to join a small, hands-on team. You'll work directly alongside the owner, detailing everything from daily drivers to supercars, trucks, family vehicles, etc. No shop, early mornings, late afternoons, no fluorescent lighting, just you, the car, and a driveway. No experience necessary because we train you from scratch , including paid instruction on ceramic coating application, a skill with real earning potential down the line once we see potential in you.
We're looking for someone dependable, coachable, and genuinely interested in doing good work and not just clocking hours. If you take pride in getting details right and want a job that can grow with you, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Perform full interior and exterior detailing (car washing, vacuuming, upholstery cleaning, dashboard care, glass cleaning, tire cleaning, carpet cleaning, vehicle protection, etc) to a luxury standard on every vehicle.
- Represent Sandia Suds professionally with high-end clientele, including talking with clients about their service
- Work outdoors in New Mexico's summer heat and winter cold. This is an outdoor mobile role
- Keep equipment and supplies organized and ready between appointments
- Follow safe handling practices around clients' vehicles and property at all times
- Eventually learn ceramic protection application under direct, hands-on supervision
What We're Looking For
- Reliable and punctual. By far this is the single most important trait for the role!
- Comfortable with physical work: standing, bending, lifting up to 25–40 lbs, working outside in all weather with breaks.
- Coachable and open to feedback. We'll teach the technical side, but the attitude has to already be there
- Strong communicator, comfortable talking with clients. Sales or customer service experience is a real plus
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Based in or near the NE Heights / Sandia Heights area preferred, for easier scheduling
- Any prior work experience is a plus but not required. To us, work ethic matters more than your resume
Schedule & Pay
- Part-time, roughly 10–15 hours/week, weekend availability is a need.
- Starting pay: $18.00/hour during training
- Increases to $21–$24/hour once you're working independently and proving out typically within your first few months, based on speed, quality, and reliability. Your work ethic follows your pay!
- Paid as a W-2 employee with taxes withheld. This is real employment.
