Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet safety standards and client expectations. Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality
- Execute interior and exterior painting tasks using hand tools, brushes, rollers, and airless or conventional spray equipment for efficient coverage
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and color schemes to accurately execute project specifications
- Apply various coatings including industrial paints, stains, sealants, and specialty finishes on different substrates such as stucco, masonry, drywall, and wood
- Perform surface repairs and restoration work on existing structures during renovation or remodeling projects
- Follow safety regulations diligently by using respiratory protection, harnesses, scaffolding safety measures, and proper handling of hazardous materials
- Assist with construction site tasks such as carpentry (trim carpentry, framing), masonry work, fixture installation, and basic maintenance when needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction painting with a strong understanding of surface preparation and finishing techniques
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes related to painting projects is a plus
- Familiarity with color theory for accurate visual color comparison and matching
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, spray equipment (including airless paint sprayers), and scaffolding
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans effectively
- Understanding of safety regulations specific to construction sites including respiratory protection protocols
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to project scope and materials estimation
- Experience with renovation projects involving plastering, caulking, drywall finishing, stucco application, or restoration work is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
