Position Summary
We are seeking a CNC Waterjet Operator responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining our CNC waterjet cutting equipment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Experience with CNC machinery is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right individual with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor CNC waterjet cutting machines.
- Load and unload various materials including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, stone, tile, glass, plastics, and composites.
- Set up jobs according to customer drawings and specifications.
- Verify material dimensions and inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality.
- Perform machine startup, shutdown, and routine maintenance.
- Replace consumables including orifices, mixing tubes, seals, and nozzles.
- Monitor abrasive levels and maintain proper machine operation.
- Keep accurate production records and job documentation.
- Package completed parts for customer pickup or delivery.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
- Assist with inventory management and material handling.
- Work with ownership to improve production efficiency and quality.
- Communicate professionally with customers when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating CNC machinery.
- Waterjet, laser, plasma, router, machining, or fabrication experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software is a plus.
- Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, bend, and work on your feet throughout the day.
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
