Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Millwright to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, with experience in industrial maintenance and troubleshooting.
This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment in the grain, feed and fertilizer industry. The Millwright will work closely with other team members, utilizing a range of tools and equipment, while ensuring safety standards.
A commitment to safety and customer service is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, align, dismantle, and repair material handling equipment using a variety of tools and equipment.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, and manuals to facilitate repairs or installations.
- Operate industrial equipment such as scissor lifts, ariel boom lifts and telehandlers.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend machinery lifespan.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate and work reliably with team members.
- Must poses and maintain a valid driver's license and hold or be able to obtain a CDL certification.
- Ability to travel with some overnights, as needed, depending on project locations in the Midwest.
Experience
- Willing to train persons showing dedication and potential.
- Industrial mechanic/millwright experience within the grain, feed or fertilizer industries is a plus.
- Knowledge of material handling equipment (conveyors, bucket elevators, etc.) is a plus.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb ladders and/or stairs 200+ feet.
- Must not be afraid of heights.
- Welding experience and/or certification is a plus.
- OSHA 10/30 certification is a plus.
- Experience working with cranes and rigging is a plus.
- Rigger's certification is a plus.
- CDL certification is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 60 per week
