Location: Huger, SC | Pay: $31.80/hour + $0.60/hour shift differential | Schedule: Third Shift
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanical Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy industrial equipment in a fast-paced steel-processing environment.
Troubleshoot and repair conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, chains, sprockets, couplings, and rotating equipment
Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Replace bearings, seals, shafts, rollers, and mechanical components
Perform motor, pump, and gearbox alignment
Complete preventive and predictive maintenance
Perform basic welding, cutting, and fabrication
Read mechanical drawings, hydraulic schematics, and equipment manuals
Assist with equipment installations and upgrades
Identify root causes of equipment failures and help improve reliability
Follow OSHA and Lockout/Tagout safety procedures
5+ years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience preferred
Experience in steel processing, metal manufacturing, stamping, or heavy manufacturing preferred
Strong experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, and power transmission equipment
Welding/fabrication experience preferred
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
Trade school, apprenticeship, or equivalent industrial experience preferred
Technicians will work with:
Steel-processing and slitting equipment
Conveyors and material-handling systems
Gearboxes, pumps, bearings, shafts, and couplings
Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Overhead cranes
Heavy industrial production machinery
