We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our dynamic emergency medicine team. The APP will provide comprehensive care to patients presenting with acute and urgent medical conditions, performing typical emergency room procedures in collaboration with our board-certified emergency physicians. This role requires clinical excellence, sound judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
Perform medical evaluations, diagnostic testing, and treatment for patients presenting with acute and urgent conditions.
Conduct emergency procedures, including suturing, splinting, wound care, and abscess incision and drainage.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure quality and timely patient care.
Maintain thorough and accurate documentation within the EMR system.
Adhere to established clinical protocols, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
Requirements:
Education: Masters
Experience Years: 5 Years
Experience Type:
- Five or more years’ experience working in a clinical area OR if experience is not 5 years, the team member must come with a recommendation from an internal provider or nurse.
- Must hold one of the following:
- Master’s Nurse Practitioner or master’s Physician Assistant strongly preferred (bachelor’s required)
- Doctorate Nurse Practitioner
- Must have a clear and active license for the state in which you will be practicing.
- Must hold an active DEA license.
- Active PALS and ACLS certification
- Must be successfully credentialed within each facility you will be performing shifts.
- Must be able to successfully pass a Level 2 background screen and drug test.
- Able to perform the duties expected for an active role in a busy medical environment (standing, walking, teaching, public speaking, pulling, pushing, lifting, etc.)
- Able to stand and work up to a 12-hour shift in the facility.
- Legibly write English, clearly speak English, and proficiently read English.
- Bilingual preferred
Certifications/Licenses:
PA or ARNP License in the State of Florida
