Pay: $16.00/hour, part-time, 1099 independent contractor
Schedule: 2–3 hours per shift, 2–3 days per week
Role: As a member of our Equine Feed Team, you do not need horse experience. You’ll work at our 32-acre farm and help provide exceptional care to our therapy horses. You'll also play a vital role in providing nutrition, care, and attention to our hoofed partners so they can help people experience life-changing growth and healing. You will be a great fit if you:

About Wild Hearts: Serving more than 100 individuals each week across the Upstate, Wild Hearts pairs rescued horses and donkeys with veterans, at-risk youth, survivors of abuse and trafficking, and individuals with special needs. Since 2015, our services have helped foster confidence, connection, and healing that helps people thrive.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare horses’ feed and supplements according to individualized feeding plans.
- Deliver feed pans to horses. Pick up and clean pans.
- Monitor horses’ health and well-being and immediately report concerns.
- Check and fill water troughs.
- Clean and organize feed spaces and other areas on the farm.
- Maintain timely communication—respond promptly to calls/texts, and notify feed team manager immediately of any schedule changes or emergencies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 18 years of age with reliable transportation.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Horse experience is preferred but not required.
