Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and dry all dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed to support the culinary team.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, including counters, sinks, and storage areas, adhering to sanitation standards.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and transporting used dishware to the dishwashing station.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly, including dishwashers, sinks, and other related tools.
- Follow proper manual handling techniques when lifting heavy pots, trays, or boxes to prevent injury.
- Adhere to all kitchen health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.
Requirements
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during busy service hours.
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and basic knife skills is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and sanitation.
