Duties
- Install, configure, and support network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and SANs to optimize system performance.
- Manage and troubleshoot computer networks using protocols such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, and VLANs to ensure seamless connectivity.
- Implement and maintain network security measures including VPNs, IDS/IPS systems, Cisco ISE for identity services, PKI for certificate management, and firewall configurations like Cisco ASA.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and system hardening procedures to safeguard against cyber threats while supporting network infrastructure upgrades.
- Support virtualization environments such as VMware vSphere and ESXi; administer cloud services like AWS and Azure for scalable solutions.
- Automate network and system administration tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, and tools like Ansible.
- Provide technical troubleshooting support across operating systems including Windows, Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS), UNIX variants (Solaris, BSD), macOS, and openSUSE.
- Monitor network health with tools like SolarWinds and PRTG; perform regular system updates and patch management aligned with ITIL best practices.
Skills
- Deep understanding of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN architecture, routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), network switching (Cisco switches), and Ethernet standards.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing network security components such as VPNs (IPsec & SSL), SSO integrations, LDAP/Active Directory management, GPO policies, DHCP/DNS services.
- Experience with network troubleshooting tools like Wireshark or SolarWinds Network Management Suite; ability to diagnose complex issues swiftly.
- Knowledge of high availability architectures including load balancing solutions (F5 or similar) and clustering techniques for critical systems.
- Familiarity with SDLC processes for deploying secure applications; experience with DevOps practices integrating automation tools like Ansible or PowerShell scripting.
- Strong background in IT infrastructure management encompassing operating systems (Windows Server & Linux), virtualization (VMware vSphere & Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (AWS & Azure).
- Ability to perform vulnerability assessments using tools like Splunk or other SIEM solutions; implement system hardening measures based on best practices.

Pay: $38.39 - $46.24 per hour
