Union Hill Trading Post is looking for a passionate and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee our back-of-house operations. We are a local and family owned business that is operated by service industry veterans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient and timely food preparation and service.
- Hire, train, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation to meet company standards.
- Develop and update menu items in collaboration with the owner, keeping in mind customer preferences and food cost considerations.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and food cost control to minimize waste and maintain profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Monitor kitchen equipment and schedule necessary maintenance or repairs.
- Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle kitchen budgeting, including labor costs, inventory management, and waste reduction.
- Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to quality.
