Life Skills Coach (Part-Time)
Location: Waterbury, VT
Schedule: Part-Time, 16 hours per week (Evenings and Weekends)

Are you passionate about helping others build independence, confidence, and meaningful community connections? We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Life Skills Coach to support adults with developmental disabilities living independently in apartment settings.
In this role, you will empower individuals to develop the practical and social skills needed to live safely and successfully in their homes and communities. Through coaching, encouragement, and individualized support, you'll help people achieve their personal goals while fostering self-confidence and self-determination.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized training plans based on each person's goals, strengths, and support needs.
- Teach essential life skills, including:
- Apartment and household management
- Meal planning and food preparation
- Grocery shopping
- Money management and budgeting
- Community participation and recreation planning
- Support the development of social, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Assist individuals in accessing community resources and services.
- Teach travel safety and the use of public transportation.
- Help individuals plan and host social activities with friends and community members.
- Provide positive support and encouragement that promotes independence and self-confidence.
- Monitor progress and maintain required documentation.
- Participate in service planning meetings and collaborate with support teams.

- Relevant work, volunteer, or life experience supporting others.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
