This position utilizes the following equipment:
- Mimaki UJV55+320 (10ft roll to roll printer)
- Epson Sure Color V7000
- HP Latex 500
- Graphtec Plotter 8000
- CNC Machine - 5'x10' Easy Router
Duties: You will be responsible for set up, operation and basic maintenance of the large format printers (flatbed and roll to roll), CNC machine and associated equipment.
- Track ink inventory
- Track material inventory
- Be able to identify between various materials and substrates that will be printed
- Examine and prep art files to be printed (Illustrator)
- Perform daily/weekly maintenance on printers
- Perform daily cleanings of printers
- Run diagnostics to ensure printer is achieving peak performance.
- Consult tech support for aid in repairs and updates for printers
- Responsible for running all printers as well as CNC machine
- Be able to navigate Adobe Creative platforms - but mainly Illustrator
- Communicate ideas from the Design department to the Fabrication shop
- Sand components produced from the CNC process
- QC all produced materials - possessing a strong attention to detail and quality
- Properly label and store produced items
- Dispose of waste materials properly
- Maintain a clean work space
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years prior experience minimum in operating large format printers and related equipment
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of fabrication processes and materials
- Adobe Illustrator Knowledge
Pay is negotiable and dependent on skill level.
Benefits include seven paid holidays, PTO and Co-Op group health plan after 90 days.
Also, simple IRA with up to a 3% match is available after 1 year of employment.
