Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a variety of pizza styles according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Ensure all food safety sanitizing procedures are followed meticulously to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools efficiently and safely during food production
- Manage dough preparation, including kneading, proofing, and portioning for consistent quality
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to achieve optimal texture and flavor in every pizza
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting innovative toppings or crust options that meet customer preferences
- Maintain high standards of food handling, hygiene, and cleanliness throughout all stages of food preparation
Requirements
- Proven experience as a pizza maker or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques such as braising, poaching, grilling, and food production processes
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures in a commercial kitchen environment
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently under pressure during high-volume production periods
- Knowledge of dietary considerations and ability to adhere strictly to recipe specifications and dietary guidelines
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering is highly desirable
- Excellent food handling skills combined with a passion for culinary excellence in fine dining or casual settings
