Job Title: Building Supervisor
Job Level: Part-Time
Department: Parks & Recreation
Pay: $17.50/hour
Primary Purpose: Supervision of the Dielmann Recreation Complex, which includes but is not limited to: room set ups, ice scrapes, running cash register during public sessions, general cleaning of facility, which includes, two meeting rooms, lobby, locker rooms, and benches. Operate equipment utilized for maintenance of ice surface. Position offers 10-24 hours/week working weekend and evening hours.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform ice scrapes between activities. Experience is not necessary and training is available.

Supervise and set up for activities on ice rink and in meeting rooms.

Maintain cleanliness of the facility which includes but is not limited to:

Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors and benches

Stocking and maintaining cleanliness of restrooms

Wiping down tables, chairs, counters, and windows

Empty trash cans, or direct subordinates in such activities

Run cash register and count cash drawer during public sessions.

Provide rental equipment as required, and ensure cleanliness of skate shop, or direct subordinates in such activities

Provide information to users of the ice rink

Unlock and secure the recreation complex as required

Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required:

Must be at least 18 years of age to operate ice re-surfacer. Training available.

Able to read and follow written directions. Able to use computer equipment and have basic computer skills.

Training in First Aid and CPR available.

Can communicate effectively with customers and staff.
Physical Requirements: Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for short distances. Ability to stoop, bend, climb, and crawl as needed to adequately perform cleaning and maintenance of facilities.
Working Conditions: Work is primarily done in an indoor ice rink facility setting resulting in considerable exposure to cold temperatures (35 – 50 degrees Fahrenheit). Flexible hours that consist of weekday evenings and weekends, two to three days a week.
