About the Role:
This is an outdoor, hands-on position performing work across various job sites in the greater Phoenix area. Candidates must be fully prepared to work in extreme Arizona heat, including summer temperatures that regularly exceed 110°F. Prior experience working outdoors in high-heat conditions is required.
Core Responsibilities:
- Installs hardscape materials including pavers, flagstone, block walls, retaining walls, gravel, decomposed granite, and edging.
- Prepares and grades job sites including excavation, compaction, and base material installation.
- Performs heavy lifting and material handling throughout the workday. Moving rock, block, sand, and other materials is a core daily function.
- Completes daily work assignments on time and to quality standards.
Requirements:
- Must have demonstrated experience working outdoors in extreme heat — Arizona summers are intense and physical endurance in high temperatures is non-negotiable.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor including heavy lifting (50+ lbs regularly), digging, shoveling, tamping, bending, and kneeling for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Strictly follows PPE and all safety protocols.
- Team player that gets along well with others.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods of time.
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of proven experience in hardscape installation, landscaping, or outdoor construction labor.
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Valid driver's license a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
