Position: Assistant Facility Administrator
General Responsibilities: The Assistant Facility Administrator works under the direct supervision of the Facility Administrator. This person is basically responsible for the safety & security of the residents as well as the staff of the facility. This person works hand in hand with the Facility Administrator in keeping the facility in compliance with State & Federal requirements.
Duties:
1. Completes all security reports that are required by the State and submits such reports as required to the proper agency or person.
2. Gives performance reviews of all shift supervisors.
3. Administer drug-tests as deemed necessary.
4. Attend and participate in administrative meetings.
5. Assist the Admissions Administrator in the acceptance of referrals into the program. Job Description
6. Assist with calculating resident’s daily points & keeping up with their phases.
7. Collect any resident grievances.
8. Report any resident and/or staff issues to the Facility Administrator
9. Ensure that all fire drills, tornado drills etc. are being conducted and documented accordingly.
10. Ensure phase 4 residents receive their snacks accordingly.
11. Ensure staff is applying themselves to their respective positions as they should and are being held accountable if they are not.
12. Ensure that all staff conducts themselves in a firm, non-offensive, professional manner at all times.
13. Follow all applicable policies of Wayne Half-Way
14. Participate in and compile data for the PQI program as requested.
15. Demonstrate competence in cultural knowledge, awareness, & sensitivity.
16. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Facility Administrator.
17. Supervises all security staff.
18. Scheduling of employees and granting or denying pto/vacation to maintain proper staff to resident ratio.
Qualifications & Experience: The Assistant Facility Administrator must have a High School Diploma or GED and preferred 5 years’ experience in a juvenile facility, in a supervisory position. This person can have NO FELONY CONVICTIONS.
