Duties
- Assist classroom teachers with lesson planning and instructional activities across various subjects, including literacy, math, and early childhood education.
- Support students’ individual learning needs by providing one-on-one or small group instruction, especially for students with disabilities or autism.
- Implement behavior management techniques to promote positive classroom behavior and maintain a respectful learning environment.
- Help supervise children during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and other school-related events to ensure safety and engagement.
- Support classroom organization by preparing materials, setting up learning stations, and maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
- Collaborate with teachers to develop curriculum adaptations that meet the needs of diverse learners, including preschoolers and toddlers.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to support student progress and address any concerns promptly.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare, preschool, private schools, or similar environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of special education strategies and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with childhood development principles.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers and students
- Ability to manage classroom activities confidently while maintaining a positive demeanor.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or disabilities is highly valued.
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
