Summary:
The Accounting – Job Cost Specialist will be responsible in assisting the in house Controller and Project Managers with reconciling Job Production with Job Costs and correctly expensing cost to jobs and activity codes on a daily basis.
The Job Cost Specialist will plan and discuss with fellow accounting professionals to ensure customer billing matches job expenses of multiple projects by auditing production reports, job invoices, material inventory slips, and credit card expenses.
Additionally, the Job Cost Specialist provides consistent feedback, advice and guidance to Project Managers and Controller, while maintaining an appropriate level of awareness and knowledge across multiple jobs.
This position will work in the office in Gunter, TX.
General Duties Include but are not limited to:
· Entering AP Invoices into our accounting software
· Audit, monitor and reconcile the daily production reports from the field and the invoices and material tickets received
· Interact with coworkers and vendors via phone and email in a cordial and professional manner
· Track job expenses and ensure they are being captured correctly in our accounting software to match customer billing
· Plan work ahead of time and assist with updating vendor files
· Audit vendor invoices when received to production reports and prior invoices created
· Communicate continuously with the entire team on production discrepancies
· Reconciling job costs to job production for invoice verification
· Create customer invoices
· AP Support: Assist with other various AP invoice entry and invoice processing
· Provide general support to month end close as needed
· Keeping track and expensing inventory to jobs based on production
· Miscellaneous job and accounting needs
Additional Notes:
· This role will touch both Operations and Accounting, so strong communication skills are necessary
· Strong attention to detail
· Not expected to own month end close, but provide support
· Expected to have intimate knowledge of multiple projects at a given time
· Organizational skills are paramount to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- The ability to balance multiple tasks, along with strong communication skills is essential
- Able to use all communication avenues to effectively problem solve
- Detail oriented with focus on results.
- Must be able to speak, write and communicate effectively in English.
- Knowledge and high aptitude in Microsoft Office programs (word, excel, etc.)
- Experience and high aptitude in accounting ERP software
- High level of self-confidence, flexibility, integrity and honesty.
Preferred:
- College Degree
- Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum Accounting software

- The overall nature of the position might require light physical exertion with minimal physical effort frequently required.
- The frequent physical demands of the position are talking, hearing and repetitive hand motions, standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, and eye/hand/foot coordination.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
