Juniper Healthcare in Redding, CA is hiring a Primary Care Physician 3 or 4 days a week to care for adults 65+ on Medicare. This isn't urgent care or a revolving door — it's longitudinal, relationship-based primary care for Shasta County seniors, with paid administrative time built into your week.
COMPENSATION: $300,000–$400,000+
Guaranteed base + Greater-Of monthly wRVU + paid admin time + performance bonus.
THE ROLE
- Manage a Medicare panel scaled to FTE — ~300 patients per scheduled day (~900 at 3 days; ~1,200 at 4 days).
- 8 clinical hours per scheduled day plus ~1 hour of paid administrative time (charting is compensated, not absorbed).
- ~2–2.5 patients per clinical hour. AI-assisted charting plus built-in CCM, APCM, and RPM infrastructure.
HOW YOU'RE PAID — FOUR ENGINES
- Hourly Rate: $125/hour for every paid hour, clinical and admin. Your floor, always.
- Administrative Time Bonus: 1 paid admin hour per 8 clinical hours at $125/hr — paid each pay period.
- Greater-Of Monthly wRVU: Each month you earn the greater of base or wRVU production at $20/wRVU. Production only adds.
- Annual Performance Bonus: Up to $15,000 at 1.0 FTE
BENEFITS
- Healthcare Stipend: $2,000/mo at 1.0 FTE ($24K/yr), scaled to FTE.
- 401(k): 100% match up to 6% of eligible comp; eligible after 90 days.
- PTO: 1 hr per 13 clinical hrs (~96 hrs/yr at 0.75 FTE; ~128 hrs/yr at 1.0 FTE); voluntary annual cash-out up to 50%.
- Malpractice + Tail, CA license, and DEA renewal: Paid in full by Juniper.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- MD or DO with active CA license (or eligibility); board certified/eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics.
- Active DEA and eligibility for federal health care programs.
