We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical field while working under the guidance of experienced electricians. The Apprentice Electrician will assist with various electrical tasks on construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety standards and electrical codes.
Duties
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in both industrial and commercial settings.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform electrical work, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to understand project requirements.
- Support experienced electricians in troubleshooting electrical issues, including low voltage and high voltage systems.
- Conduct tests using an ohmmeter and other testing equipment to ensure proper functionality of electrical systems.
- Participate in ongoing training to develop skills related to NEC (National Electrical Code) compliance and safe work practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites while adhering to safety regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an industrial or commercial electrician is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical testing equipment is essential.
- Understanding of low voltage and high voltage systems is advantageous.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
- Experience on construction sites is a plus, with knowledge of frame carpentry being beneficial.
- Strong commitment to safety practices and attention to detail.
