Join our dedicated Travelcare technician team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and become a vital part of providing reliable, high-quality special needs care across diverse medical settings. Responsibilities
- Provide special needs care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility using safe lifting practices and manual handling techniques
- Acting as a support to parents
- Tutoring (English, math, writing)
- Going on family vacations
- Going into the community with patient
- Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; accurately document findings
- Support patients with specialized needs such as autism care, dementia care, or behavioral health requirements with patience and empathy
- Pick up and drop off in your vehicles
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols using aseptic techniques; maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Transfer patients safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods suitable for various mobility levels
- Collaborate directly with families.
- Attend paid trainings
- Attend companies local events
Skills
- Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities, and those requiring memory or hospice care
- Familiarity with working with children and their families
- Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, and basic life support (BLS) procedures including CPR
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely while maintaining proper body mechanics
- Excellent caregiver communication skills to provide compassionate support and education to patients and their families
- Experience working in acute care environments
- Knowledge of infection prevention practices including aseptic technique and infectious disease care protocols
- Competence in vital signs measurement, anatomy knowledge, and patient transfer methods to ensure safety at all times
REQUIREMENTS NO EXCEPTIONS:
- Working with children and adults with acute needs
- Driving history (license, insurance, registration in your name)
- Pass a background check
- Have a CNA or PCA certificate
- Current TB test
- Current CPR/FIRST AID CERTIFICATE
