At Cascade Senior Living Services, we believe exceptional resident care happens when strong clinical leadership is paired with emotional intelligence, compassion, and the ability to inspire others.
We are seeking a Resident Services Director (RSD) who is equally comfortable leading a care team through a clinical challenge as they are supporting a family through a difficult conversation. This is not a role for someone who only manages tasks—it is a role for someone who develops people, builds trust, creates accountability, and ensures residents receive outstanding care every day.
If you are a nurse leader who combines strong clinical judgment with empathy, relationship-building, coaching, and servant leadership, we would love to meet you.
As the Resident Services Director, you will provide leadership and oversight for all resident care and nursing services within an assisted living community, including:
-
Leading, coaching, and developing Resident Aides, Med Techs, Nurse Delegates, Coordinators, and Supervisors
-
Ensuring compliance with state regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies
-
Overseeing resident assessments, service plans, and quality assurance programs
-
Supporting resident admissions, move-ins, and care transitions
-
Partnering with residents, families, physicians, pharmacies, and outside providers
-
Monitoring staffing levels, labor budgets, scheduling, and productivity
-
Investigating incidents and implementing corrective action plans when needed
-
Building a positive culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and resident-centered care
-
Training and mentoring future leaders within the organization
We're looking for someone who possesses both:
- Excellent nursing assessment abilities
-
Knowledge of assisted living regulations and standards of practice
-
Experience managing medication systems and clinical documentation
-
Ability to identify risks, solve problems, and make sound clinical decisions
-
Strong understanding of infection control, resident safety, and quality assurance
- Leads with empathy, patience, and professionalism
-
Handles difficult conversations with confidence and compassion
-
Coaches rather than commands
-
Builds trust and credibility with staff, residents, and families
-
Maintains composure under pressure
-
Demonstrates self-awareness, accountability, and humility
-
Creates an environment where people feel valued, heard, and supported
- Current Washington State RN or LPN license required
-
Assisted Living, Senior Living, Long-Term Care, or Behavioral Health leadership experience preferred
-
Previous supervisory or management experience required
-
Strong knowledge of resident care regulations and compliance standards
-
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
-
Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation systems
At CSLS, we serve vulnerable seniors and adults through communities built on our CORE Values:
Compassion • Integrity • Perseverence • Positivity
We are a mission-driven organization that believes leadership is about service. We invest in our people, promote from within, and provide opportunities to grow professionally while making a meaningful difference in the lives of residents and team members every day.
The most successful candidate will be someone who can walk onto a nursing floor and earn respect through clinical competence, then walk into a family meeting and earn trust through compassion and emotional intelligence.
We can teach systems. We can teach processes. We are looking for a leader who naturally combines clinical excellence with genuine care for people.
Apply today and help us transform lives through exceptional leadership and resident care.
