At Conductor Power, we’re looking for a diligent and knowledgeable Environmental Inspector/Field Engineer to support our utility-scale renewable energy construction project in Jal, New Mexico. This full-time, on-site role primarily focuses on environmental compliance while also supporting field engineering functions as needed.
You’ll play a vital role in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and will collaborate closely with site teams to proactively resolve issues and implement best practices. In addition, you’ll assist with engineering-related tasks such as field documentation, quality checks, and technical coordination.

Minimum of three years of environmental compliance or inspection experience, preferably in construction or renewable energy

Knowledge of environmental regulations including SWPPP, SPCC, Clean Water Act, NEPA, and species/cultural resource protections

Ability to monitor field activities and report on compliance accurately and professionally

Proficient in Microsoft Office and inspection reporting tools

Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and problem-solving ability

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Education/Experience:

High school diploma or GED required

College coursework in environmental science, construction, or related fields a plus

Familiarity with renewable energy construction practices preferred
Physical Requirements:

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and navigate active construction sites with uneven terrain

Occasional lifting (up to 50 pounds), walking, and standing

Frequent computer use, visual assessments, and verbal communication for reporting and team coordination
