Job Summary
As a Sales Representative / Merchandiser, you will be responsible for developing new business, maintaining existing customer relationships, merchandising products in stores, and helping customers maximize sales. This position combines outside sales with hands-on merchandising to ensure our products are well-stocked, attractively displayed, and consistently driving revenue.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and acquire new retail accounts through phone calls, in-person visits, and networking.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
- Present and sell ice cream, snacks, beverages, and specialty food products.
- Assist new customers through the onboarding process, including registration paperwork and required agreements.
- Educate customers on freezer and refrigeration programs when applicable.
- Submit accurate customer orders and verify order details before processing.
- Merchandise products by stocking shelves and freezers, rotating inventory, and creating clean, organized displays.
- Monitor inventory levels and recommend reorders.
- Follow up with customers regularly to encourage repeat business.
- Verify product availability before confirming orders and recommend suitable alternatives when needed.
- Represent Worldwide Snacks Inc. professionally at all customer locations.
- Travel throughout the assigned territory to service accounts.
Qualifications
- Previous sales, merchandising, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in refrigerated environments when stocking freezers.
Preferred Skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Experience in food & beverage distribution or CPG sales is preferred.
- Experience building retail displays or merchandising products is a plus.
Pay: $19.00 per hour
