Job Description: The Domestic Content Adder (DCA) will work remotely to support domestic content compliance for renewable energy projects by diligently reviewing, validating, and tracking documentation required to substantiate eligibility for the Domestic Content Adder. \This role is responsible for receiving and organizing contractor and vendor submissions, confirming completeness and accuracy against project-specific requirements and internal checklists, documenting deficiencies, and coordinating timely resolution of gaps. The DCA maintains audit-ready files and version control, records review outcomes in designated trackers/dashboards (if applicable), and prepares periodic status reports highlighting open items, risks, and trends for management and stakeholders. Each project may have unique documentation requirements; the DCA will gather and interpret those requirements, communicate expectations clearly, and serve as a key point of contact to help ensure on-time, accurate, and compliant submissions. Do not have to have prior DCA experience.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Diligently review, organize, and validate all documents pertaining to DCA requirements (e.g., contractor submissions, project exhibits, compliance attestations, supporting records).
- Perform detailed completeness and accuracy checks (signatures, dates, entity names, required attachments, math/totals, and consistency across source documents).
- Document findings, discrepancies, and missing items; issue clear deficiency notices and corrective action requests with required due dates and supporting detail.
- Maintain an audit trail and tracking logs (intake dates, review status, version control, and resolution history) to support audit readiness for DCA compliance.
- Prepare and present periodic status updates to management (open items, risk areas, aging, and trends) and recommend remediation steps to maintain DCA compliance.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and contractors to clarify requirements, resolve document gaps, and ensure timely submission of DCA-related documentation.
- Enter and reconcile DCA document review outcomes in designated systems (e.g., trackers, dashboards, LPC Tracker if applicable); apply quality controls to ensure data integrity and consistent reporting.
Preferred Background:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in compliance, audit support, document control, contract administration, or similar work requiring detailed review and validation of supporting documentation.
- Experience supporting renewable energy projects and/or familiarity with tax credit documentation, domestic content requirements, and audit readiness practices is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of procurement and supply chain documentation (e.g., purchase orders, invoices, bills of materials, manufacturer certifications, and origin/traceability records).
- Strong proficiency with Excel and document management tools (e.g., SharePoint/Teams/OneDrive) and comfort maintaining trackers, version control, and dashboards.
Required Skillsets:
- Bachelors Degree with minimum 3 years of experience in Document review/auditing
- Strong manual document review skills, including the ability to identify missing information, inconsistencies, unsupported claims, and documentation gaps
- High attention to detail and ability to apply checklists, audit requirements, and project-specific review criteria consistently
- Experience with document control, file organization, version control, trackers, and audit-ready recordkeeping.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to reconcile information across multiple source documents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly document findings and communicate deficiency requests.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple document review workstreams.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be physically capable of maintaining prolonged periods of sitting or standing with intermittent kneeling or bending.
- Must be physically capable of walking on the job site on varied, uneven terrain and/or in varied temperatures and weather elements.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds at a time.
