Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and physical examinations tailored to weight management needs
- Administer medications and injections such as GLP 1s, hormone, and peptidetreatments and other prescribed therapies with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques
- Educate patients on nutrition, lifestyle modifications, and medication protocols to support sustainable weight loss outcomes
- Monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on physiological responses and clinical data
- Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, dietitians, and behavioral health specialists to optimize patient care plans
- Manage triage responsibilities by assessing urgent concerns, providing guidance, and coordinating emergency responses when needed
Requirements
- Valid RN license in good standing with current registration or certification
- Proven experience working with individuals in weight management or related fields such as internal medicine or geriatrics
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology relevant to weight loss treatments
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for efficient documentation and patient record management
- Experience administering injections (including botulinum toxin), IV infusions, and performing venipuncture or catheter care
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques, infection control practices, and medication administration protocols
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively and provide compassionate support during their health journey
