We're looking for a detail-oriented and self-directed Print Farm & Production Associate to split time evenly across our Print Farm, Production, and Shipping departments onsite at our Santa Barbara warehouse. This role owns the print farm queue and filament inventory, while also pitching in on manufacturing/assembly and order fulfillment as needed.
Successful candidates will show up on time for their scheduled shifts, communicate proactively when something's off track rather than letting it slide, and take ownership of their numbers. There is lots of room to grow here and we've seen 2x-3x growth every year since 2015. This is a great opportunity to have unlimited growth potential with a startup in the creator economy space.
Responsibilities
- Managing the 3D print farm queue, including catching and re-running failed prints as needed (~13 hrs/week)
- Completing post-processing, quality control, and packing of printed parts, same-day where practical
- Tracking filament inventory using a min/max system, and submitting reorder requests before stock runs out
- Reconciling physical material counts against inventory records weekly
- Supporting the Production department with manufacturing and assembly tasks (~13 hrs/week)
- Supporting the Shipping department with order fulfillment (~13 hrs/week)
- Escalating equipment failures, material shortages, or workload conflicts promptly, rather than letting them become surprises later
Requirements
- A high school diploma
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods
- Strong follow-through: if something's not on track, we need to hear about it before it's a problem, not after
- Common human decency
Preferred
- Previous 3D printing or print farm experience
- Previous warehouse or production experience
- Experience with inventory tracking systems (we use Katana/ShipHero)
- Comfort working independently across multiple departments and priorities
Position Details
- Hours: Full-time, 32-40 hrs/week (Mon-Fri, 8am - 4:30pm)
- Pay: $20-24/hr, dependent on experience
- Location: Onsite
