Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance to meet their needs
- Manage employees, by helping them organize departements and keeping them on task.
- Training new employees on customer service and product care.
- Partcipate in company meetings to help better improve the buisness.
- Open the store for operation and close the store at night.
- Count tils and ensure the store is ready for closing
- Promote and sell retail products and financial services, including retail lending options
- Perform data entry tasks related to sales, and customer accounts
- Handle retail math calculations confidently for sales totals, discounts, and financial transactions
- Maintain departments by scanning "out" items and replacing canceled product.
- Assisting in keeping the inventory accurate.
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales or retail store experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm for engaging with customers is essential
- Management experience in hardware retail (especially Ace Hardware).
- Able to handle confrontational customers and employees.
- Basic math skills necessary for handling cash transactions, retail math calculations, and financial software use.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of cash management, cashiering procedures, and retail math principles is advantageous

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
