Oral Surgery Assistant / Surgical Scrub Tech – Per Diem

Seattle Jaw Surgery is seeking a highly experienced Oral Surgery Assistant / Surgical Scrub Tech for a part‑time, per diem role supporting advanced oral and maxillofacial surgery in both clinic and hospital OR settings.
This position is ideal for candidates with strong surgical judgment, comfort in complex cases, and experience functioning independently in OR environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Surgical scrub and chairside assisting for advanced oral surgery cases
- IV sedation, implants, complex extractions, and expose & bond procedures
- Circulator role during in‑clinic orthognathic (jaw) surgery cases
- Per‑diem support for hospital OR jaw surgery
- Room setup, instrument management, sterile technique, and workflow coordination
- Monitoring vitals, supporting anesthesia workflow, and ensuring patient safety
- CBCT imaging, clinical photography, optical scans
- Accurate EMR documentation (DSN) and support of surgical team efficiency
Required / Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Washington State Dental Assistant license
- Oral surgery experience required
- BLS/CPR certified
- Experience with IV sedation and OR procedures
- DAANCE/Dental Anesthesia Assistant certification preferred
- Comfort acting as scrub tech and/or circulator
- Strong communication, situational awareness, and attention to detail
Schedule & Compensation:
- Per diem / As needed
- $30–$45hr DOE (higher rates considered for ortho, circulator, or hospital OR experience)
