Job Functions & Duties:
We are seeking a Phlebotomy Instructor that aligns with our mission and can build rapport with individuals from various socio-economic backgrounds, as well as a diverse range of cultures. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has previous experience teaching students in higher or post-secondary education, or someone that has vast knowledge and experience working in the field. Must have great communication skills and be committed to empowering and supporting our student population as they navigate a new career path.
This role will be responsible for didactic instruction and labs for the duration of each class, as well as recording grades and attendance. We encourage a highly collaborative environment, so instructors are expected to maintain communication and rapport with other faculty and staff, such as our externship department. Class schedules will be provided for the year, and instructors are expected to closely follow the set curriculum and course syllabus.
Requirements:
- Part-Time Weekends required on-site in San Jose
- Current CPT-1 license in good standing required
- Prior teaching experience within Allied Health or Post-Secondary education preferred
- Previous experience working as a Phlebotomist, Lab Technician, or Medical Assistant is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to clearly and concisely present information
