Responsibilities
- Perform site work including excavation support, grading, backfilling, trenching, and site preparation in accordance with project plans.
- Assist with the layout, installation, and stripping of concrete forms, rebar, embeds, and other structural components according to blueprint specifications.
- Support foundation work from footings through slab, including pouring, finishing, cutting, and curing concrete to ensure smooth surfaces and structural integrity.
- Assist our in-house carpentry crew with rough and finish framing, including walls, floors, roof systems, sheathing, and blocking.
- Provide carpentry-related support to other trades on site — building temporary structures, framing openings, blocking and backing for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations, and cutting or patching as needed to keep their work moving.
- Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, and concrete pumps safely and effectively.
- Perform heavy lifting, material handling, and site cleanup efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Follow all construction workplace safety regulations diligently to maintain a secure environment for everyone on site.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and equipment operation.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings for accurate project execution.
- Experience with concrete forming, pouring, finishing, cutting, and pumping techniques.
- Understanding of construction plans.
- Knowledge of safety regulations specific to construction workplaces and proper use of hand tools and power tools.
- Skilled in rebar installation, formwork construction, masonry work, metal stud framing, stucco application, and renovation projects.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working on various construction sites; ability to work effectively in team environments.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
