As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.
Schedule
Tuesday/Thursday: 8AM - 5PM
Monday/Wednesday: 9:30am - 6:30pm
Friday: 8AM-4:00PM
Weekends (Typically scheduled once every couple of months) to start back August 1st
Responsibilities
- Triage patients and document basic medical history
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Perform x-rays, EKGs, spirometry and other testing
- Schedule appointments, input referrals and follow-ups from hospital
- Update patient EMR (Athena), Triage and or discharge
- Assist during medical examinations
- Work the buckets, messages and patient portal
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
Skills
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
