American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a Level III high-risk perinatal unit, requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and a WA or compact RN license.

Level III high-risk perinatal unit with 19 labor and delivery beds, 10 antepartum beds, 30 postpartum beds, 3 ORs, 2 PACU, and a 7-bay triage area

Facility handles 200-300 deliveries per month

Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30)

Weekend shifts required

Floating required to Postpartum unit

Targeted staffing ratios of 1:1 in labor, 1:3 couplets in postpartum with CNA support, and 1:2-3 in antepartum

No on-call responsibilities

Uses Epic charting system
-
Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission

Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required, following AWHONN standards
-
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring

Epic EMR experience required
-
Sterile vaginal exam (SVE) competency required
-
Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood/blood product administration, and labor management
-
Experience assisting with high-risk and vaginal deliveries required
-
2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Provide care in a Level II Trauma Center campus with 571 total staffed beds across both campuses
-
Unit supported by surgical techs, CNAs, delivering providers, CRNAs, and health unit coordinators around the clock
-
Scrubs may be any color except reddish-orange
-
Parking is facility paid

Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted site

Local candidates not accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius

Former Providence staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius
