Position Summary
Newbury Court is seeking an organized, enthusiastic, and people-focused Human Resources Assistant to join our Human Resources team. The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department while assisting with recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, orientation, marketing initiatives, and special events. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and a passion for providing outstanding service to employees, residents, and visitors.

Essential ResponsibilitiesHuman Resources Administration
- Maintain, organize, and file employee personnel records and HR documentation.
- Conduct regular audits of employee files to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Support the HR team with daily administrative functions and special projects.
- Order and maintain office, orientation, and HR supplies.
- Assist with preparing reports, spreadsheets, and HR correspondence.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information and sensitive records.
Recruiting & Onboarding
- Prepare onboarding paperwork and orientation materials.
- Support new employee orientation and ensure a positive onboarding experience.
Employee Engagement & Events
- Assist in planning and coordinating employee appreciation events, recognition programs, wellness initiatives, career fairs, and community events.
- Help execute event logistics, including setup, coordination, and follow-up.
- Support employee engagement initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture.
Marketing Support
- Support social media, internal communications, and community outreach initiatives as needed.
Community Support
- Build positive relationships with employees, residents, families, and visitors.
- Serve as a welcoming and professional first point of contact in the Human Resources office.
- Provide excellent customer service while assisting employees with HR-related questions.
- Collaborate with other departments to support community-wide initiatives.
- Assist with additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Learning & Development
- Track employee participation and completion of required training using HR systems
- Maintain accurate learning and development records to support compliance and reporting.
- Help prepare training materials, attendance records, and post-training evaluations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Previous office, customer service, administrative, or internship experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn and grow.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
