Looking for individuals with medication administration experience.
Medication administration professional is responsible for safely and accurately dispensing, and tracking prescribed medications for patients in an assisted living, or long-term care.
Core Responsibilities
- Administering Medication: Dispense routine prescribed medications (oral, topical, etc.) safely and promptly.
- Documentation & Records: Accurately record all administered doses and times on Electronic Medication Administration Records (EMAR/MAR).
- Patient Monitoring: Observe patients daily, tracking for intended effects or adverse reactions, and immediately report any changes to a supervisor.
- Supply Management: Maintain inventory, reorder prescription refills from pharmacies, and ensure the medication cart/room is clean and secure.
- Attention to Detail: Strict adherence to the "Five Rights" of medication administration: right patient, right drug, right dose, right route, and right time.
- Soft Skills: High levels of compassion, excellent verbal and written communication, and patience, particularly when dealing with elderly or cognitively impaired patients.

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
