We are looking to add a full-time infant/toddler teacher at Glory Days Beginnings Child Care in New Gloucester starting in August when our student teachers return to college. This position requires patience, energy, empathy, and a passion for working with young children while engaging them both physically and cognitively by providing hands-on learning experiences both inside and outside.
We offer 22 hours of paid training per year and a $240-$540 monthly bonus per employee depending on your Maine Roads to Quality Registry Level. Individual benefits package established for full-time employees including paid time off, paid vacations, and paid holidays. Full-time teachers will also have one day off each week!
Past experience with children is required. Pay is competitive and based on experience, education, and job performance. Candidates must be 18 years old, be able to pass a federal and state background check, complete CPR/1st Aid and other yearly training requirements, register on Maine Roads to Quality, and be able to perform job duties such as:
- Caring for infants and toddlers’ physical and emotional needs throughout the day including carrying, lifting, feeding, sleeping, and diapering routines when necessary
- Bringing infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children outside in all seasons
- Help create and maintain a clean, hygienic, safe, and inspiring indoor and outdoor environment for staff and children
- Plan, execute, and supervise developmentally appropriate activities for infants and toddlers while engaging with them both physically and cognitively
- Build strong, open communication with children, staff, and families
- Execute opening and closing procedures of the facility
- Help meet all DHHS licensing rules and Maine’s Quality Rating and Improvement System standards set forth
