We are looking for a driven, detail-oriented Assistant Manager to join our leadership team, support our daily operations, and help foster a positive, high-performing environment for our staff and guests alike.
Position Summary
The Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of hospitality, efficiency, and quality. You will work closely with the General Manager and management team to oversee floor operations, lead and support team members, ensure prompt service, and handle daily operational tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence: Supervise daily shift operations, ensuring high food quality, fast and accurate service, and a clean, welcoming environment.
- Team Leadership & Support: Mentor, guide, and support front-of-house and back-of-house staff during service; assist with training and onboarding new team members.
- Beer & Menu Knowledge: Passionately champion our craft beer and food menu, ensuring staff are well-trained on drafts, pairings, and menu items to elevate the guest experience.
- Customer Service: Maintain a strong floor presence, interact with guests, handle guest feedback promptly and professionally, and ensure every visitor receives outstanding service.
- Efficiency & Task Management: Execute administrative duties, shift checklists, inventory checks, and opening/closing procedures efficiently and on schedule.
- Problem Solving: Act decisively during peak hours to smooth out bottlenecks, assist staff wherever needed, and keep service running seamlessly.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 1–2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in a high-volume restaurant environment.
- Passion for Hospitality: Deep commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Beer & Culinary Passion: Strong knowledge of craft beers, draft systems, and kitchen operations (or a strong eagerness to learn and lead in these areas).
- Efficiency & Drive: Proven ability to multitask, prioritize under pressure, and manage time effectively without compromising quality.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate staff and communicate clearly with guests and upper management.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant operations.
