Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Foster a safe, clean, and supportive classroom environment
- Observe and assess children’s progress and document observations
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding child development and behavior
- Assist in maintaining classroom schedules, routines, and transitions
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support center-wide initiatives
- Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety guidelines, and center policies
- Attend regular staff meetings and participate in professional development
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- At least 18 years old
- Can PASS all background checks
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience working with children in a licensed childcare setting (preferred)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- A genuine passion for early childhood development
- Dependable
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Capable of sitting on the floor, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to react quickly in emergency situations
