Dependable individuals wanted. Responsible for the safe, professional and accurate delivery of product to customers, ensuring prompt and courteous customer experience. Ability to move and handle heavy boxes. Part time, 3-5 days per week. The weeks leading up to Valentine's Day and Mother's Day, drivers are on call to work additional hours as needed. Mini and Cargo Vans are used so only clean, regular driver's license is required.
Day to Day Tasks:
. Check in with the Dispatch Manager when the shift begins
· Discuss the route assignment, vehicle to be used and any additional duties for the day
· Review the keys and vehicle to be used, making sure it is filled with gas and in good working order
· While waiting for deliveries, you will assist with emptying trash in the production area, taking it to the loading dock and the dumpsters, ensuring trash and cardboard are taken away and disposed from the production and cooler areas. Returning carts to keep the loading dock clear. Also removing straps, debris and some pallets from route traffic.
-Helping customers to their vehicles with product and returning carts
· Review and retrieve completed orders from packers, strap boxes and place the deliveries for the upcoming routes on carts in the designated route area
· Retrieve the route sheet and customer invoices from the Accounts Receivables, checking in with the Dispatch Manager before the delivery leaves the building
· Pull the vehicle to the loading dock and load the deliveries from last to first, to ensure easier access by stop
· Drop off each delivery in the order assigned on the driver sheet
· Bring the delivery into the customer shop and place it where instructed by the customer
· Have the customer count the boxes, sign one copy, collect the payment if it is a check or cash order and leave the second unsigned copy for the customer.
-Pick up empty boxes from customer.
· Once the deliveries are completed, bring the payments, invoices, any empty boxes back to the building
· Leave the driver boards with the office and the keys in the key box and check in with staff as needed.
-Other manual assistance around the warehouse and offices as needed
Required Skills:
· Clean driving record
· Ability to lift and move heavy buckets, boxes, etc.
· Good sense of direction and ability to familiarize yourself with an area
· Ability to climb stairs, as required on deliveries
· Able to handle multiple priorities at once
· Ability to work across departments and work as a team
