Southern Response is currently seeking experienced Level II NDT Technicians specializing in Radiographic Testing (RT).
We are looking for skilled NDT professionals with a strong background in radiographic testing to support inspection and quality control operations in an industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience interpreting radiographs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining strict safety procedures.
Position: Level II NDT Technician – Radiographic Testing (RT)
Responsibilities:
- Perform radiographic testing on welds, piping, structural components, and materials in accordance with applicable codes and procedures
- Set up and operate RT equipment safely and efficiently
- Interpret radiographic images to identify discontinuities and defects
- Document and report inspection results accurately
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry standards (ASME, API, AWS, etc.)
- Maintain radiation safety standards and proper handling of radiographic equipment and sources
- Work closely with quality control and production teams to ensure inspection requirements are met
- Follow all site safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Level II NDT Certification in Radiographic Testing (RT)
- 3–5 years of hands-on RT experience
- Strong ability to interpret radiographic images and identify weld discontinuities
- Knowledge of industry codes and inspection standards
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Preferred:
- Additional NDT certifications (MT, PT, UT)
- Industrial, fabrication, or shipyard inspection experience
