Chapter Overview
Established in 2018, First Tee – West Texas is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to fostering the growth and development of youth through golf. Our team seeks to provide children from all backgrounds the opportunity to acquire essential life skills through the game. Programs are conducted at the First Tee “Billy National” Golf Course in Midland. We are also proud to be the home course of the Midland High School and Legacy High School golf teams, hosting their practices five to six days a week. Serving youth through age 18, we intertwine golf instruction with valuable life lessons. The facility is open seven days a week, except on certain holidays. This position requires evening and weekend availability.

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and organized Front Desk Staff member to serve as the welcoming face of our facility. This part-time position supports daily operations by assisting customers, answering inquiries, processing registrations, and maintaining a clean and professional front desk environment. The Front Desk Staff reports directly to the Office Administrator.
Key Responsibilities
· Customer Service:
· Greet and welcome customers, golfers, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
· Check in golfers and program participants, verifying registration and collecting fees as needed
· Answer questions about programs, schedules, and facility offerings
· Phone and Email Communication:
· Answer incoming phone calls and respond to basic inquiries professionally
· Take and relay messages accurately; forward complex inquiries to appropriate staff
· Registration and Data Entry:
· Assist customers with membership registration and account setup
· Enter and update participant information accurately in the database
· Process payments and provide receipts as needed
· Clubhouse Sales:
· Assist customers with merchandise and purchases
· Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
· Maintain organized and stocked display areas
· Facility Appearance:
· Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby area
· Restock brochures, forms, and supplies at the front desk as needed
· Additional Duties:
· Support staff with administrative tasks as assigned
· Participate in team meetings and training as scheduled
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Office Administrator, Program Director, or Executive Director
Qualifications
· Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Experience: Prior customer service or front desk experience is a plus, but not required.
· Skills:
· Friendly, professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
· Basic computer proficiency; familiarity with Microsoft Office is helpful
· Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
· Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
· Adhere to First Tee core values
· Must pass background check and complete/adhere to SafeSport training
Working Conditions
· Work is performed at the front desk and clubhouse in a facility environment.
· Occasional lifting of supplies or materials may be required.
· Weekend and afternoon availability preferred.
