Job Overview:
We are looking for a motivated, humble, and socially intelligent Pest Management Professional to join our team. No prior experience is necessary as we provide comprehensive training for the right candidate. This role emphasizes both service and sales.

Key Responsibilities:
- Service, treat, and inspect clients' premises for pests using appropriate preventative methods.
- Follow safety protocols and company standards.
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships while promoting services.
- Work independently and efficiently manage a sales/service route.
Qualifications:
- No prior experience required; will train the right person.
- Must be self-motivated, coachable, and possess strong interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record are necessary.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen is required.
- Preference for candidates within 15 miles of Sioux City, IA
Training Requirement
To ensure our new team members are equipped for success, all new PMPs are required to complete a structured training program during their first several weeks of employment.
Training is typically conducted over the first five weeks of employment and includes both field training in the employee's assigned service area and classroom/hands-on training at Olson's Pest Technicians' headquarters in Yankton, South Dakota.
A typical training schedule consists of:
- Weeks 1-2: Training at Olson's headquarters in Yankton, SD (Monday-Thursday) with assigned self-study and online training completed from home on Fridays.
- Weeks 3-4: Training in the employee's assigned service area.
- Week 5: Additional training at Olson's headquarters in Yankton, SD
Candidates who reside more than 45 miles from Yankton should expect overnight stays during training conducted at our headquarters. Candidates who reside more than 100 miles from Yankton are required to utilize company-provided lodging during headquarters training weeks. Olson's Pest Technicians provides hotel accommodations and meals for employees participating in approved overnight training.
Candidates who choose to commute rather than stay overnight are responsible for all commuting time, mileage, and use of their personal vehicle.
Successful completion of the training program is a condition of employment. Please consider this requirement before applying.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive first year annual compensation (hourly wage) in the $48,000 - $54,000 range
