We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Dental Treatment - Hygiene Coordinator to join our welcoming dental team. Duties
- Welcome patients warmly and efficiently manage appointment scheduling using EAGLESOFT patient management software and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Explain treatment options clearly, addressing patient questions with confidence and compassion
- Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and communicate benefits to patients in accordance with health regulation policies
- Coordinate treatment plans with dental providers, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and complete
- Maintain patient confidentiality rigorously while managing sensitive health information electronically and in paper records
- Follow up with patients regarding outstanding balances, payment plans, and appointment reminders via phone or email
- Assist with administrative tasks such as typing reports, updating patient records, and managing correspondence to support seamless office operations
Experience
- Proven 1-3 years of minimum experience in a dental office environment, ideally as a Treatment Coordinator, Hygiene Coordinator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of health insurance policies, billing procedures, and dental administrative support processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with patient management software or Eaglesoft dental software system
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively both over the phone and in person
- Understanding of dental terminology relevant to dental care and electronic health records management
- Prior experience handling phone communication for appointment scheduling and client inquiries
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality while managing sensitive patient information accurately
