Youth Ballroom & Waltz Instructor – County Cotillion
County Cotillion | Mitchellville, MD Part-Time / Seasonal $35–$45 per hour, depending on experience
County Cotillion is seeking an enthusiastic and engaging Ballroom & Waltz Instructor for our 2026–2027 youth Cotillion program at The Country Club at Woodmore.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced dancer or dance instructor who enjoys working with children and teenagers and wants to help young people develop confidence, poise, social skills, and an appreciation for traditional social dance.
Our program serves students from 2nd through 12th grade, with instruction adapted appropriately for each age group.
Program
Junior Cotillion: Grades 2–3
Pre-Cotillion: Grades 4–6
Cotillion: Grades 7–12
Session Dates
Candidates should ideally be available for all six Friday sessions:
· October 16, 2026
· November 13, 2026
· January 22, 2027
· February 19, 2027
· March 12, 2027
· April 9, 2027 – Final Event

Responsibilities
· Teach Waltz and traditional ballroom/social dance
· Teach posture, footwork, rhythm, partnering, and dance etiquette
· Provide engaging, age-appropriate instruction for grades 2–12
· Help students build confidence, poise, and social skills
· Prepare students for the final Cotillion event
Qualifications
· Experience with Waltz, ballroom, or social dance
· Comfortable teaching children and teenagers
· Energetic, patient, professional, and dependable
· Strong communication and group-instruction skills
· Must be able to successfully pass a full background check
· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Previous dance teaching, performance, competitive ballroom, or youth instruction experience is preferred. Previous Cotillion experience is not required.
Compensation
$35–$45 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
