Responsibilities
- Full service counter position includes handling all food transactions, bagging orders, bussing tables, and making drinks for both dine in or take out.
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages with precision, ensuring quality and presentation meet standards.
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders efficiently, and process sales accurately using POS system.
- Handle cash transactions confidently, including processing payments, giving change, and balancing registers at shift end.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and seating areas, adhering to food safety standards.
- Assist in food preparation tasks when needed, ensuring all items meet safety and quality guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service by serving drinks promptly, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating special requests.
- Support team members during busy periods by managing retail sales transactions smoothly and efficiently.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations confidently.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience in beverage preparation or barista roles is highly desirable.
