American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with an active state license and 2+ years of experience for a hospital radiation oncology department utilizing TrueBeam/Aria technology.

Hospital-based Radiation Oncology department
-
Full-time day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
-
No weekends or on-call requirements
-
TrueBeam/Aria experience preferred
-
Uses Aria for electronic medical records
-
Active state radiation therapist license required if applicable
-
Ohio Department of Health license preferred
-
ARRT registration in Radiation Therapy required
-
Current BLS/CPR certification required
-
Associate's degree in radiography with certification in radiation therapy required; Bachelor's degree preferred
-
Graduate of a JRCERT-approved radiation therapy program
-
Minimum of 2 years of radiation therapy experience required

Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
-
Ability to handle multiple priorities and make independent decisions
-
Ability to exert up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and transfer/position patients for treatment

Deliver prescribed courses of radiation therapy using established practices and standards
-
Obtain patient history, explain procedures, and monitor patients for reactions during treatment
-
Schedule patient treatments and coordinate with physicists, physicians, nurses, and social workers
-
Verify prescriptions, diagnoses, and patient identification prior to treatment
-
Prepare treatment rooms and equipment, and safely position and transfer patients including those with catheters, IVs, or other life support devices
-
Perform verification and port film exposures, adjusting therapy as directed by the physician

Document treatment plans, progress reports, and evaluation results as required
-
Provide patient education and reinforce care instructions regarding treatment side effects

Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary cancer care team

Work environment includes potential exposure to electrical equipment
