Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining excellent guest relations and upselling menu items to enhance the dining experience.
- Manage table settings, clear dishes, and assist with bussing to ensure a clean and inviting environment.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments through cashiering systems, and balance registers at shift end.
- Maintain food safety standards by following sanitation protocols, proper food handling procedures, and supporting kitchen staff with basic food preparation when needed.
- Use reservation management platforms like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements and optimize guest flow during busy hours.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service in various settings including fine dining establishments or lively nightclubs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; experience with fine dining or nightclubs is a plus.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking between serving, cashiering, and sanitation duties.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with basic math proficiency for accurate cash handling and billing.
- Experience in serving or host/hostess roles that demonstrate professionalism and attentiveness to guest needs.
